What is an “evaluation and safety check”?  At Visiting Angels Northwest Valley it’s all about relationships and an In Home Evaluation is the first step in building a strong relationship between our staff, caregivers and you.   It’s during this time spent in the home, getting to know one another that we discuss the schedule and care plan that works best for you.  While we’re getting to know you we are also evaluating the caregiver who would best suit your particular wants and needs.  Though all of our caregivers have the same qualifications to be an excellent caregiver, personalities play a big part in who would make the best fit.  And last but not least at that time a safety check is performed; with your permission we take a look around the home for any potential hazards to the safety and well being of your loved one.  We will also make suggestions on how taking simple steps can make a difference in the safety of the care recipient and the caregiver in and around the home.

Creating your Home Care Program:

As each home care situation is different, Visiting Angels Northwest Valley is capable of creating a care plan that meets your particular needs.   From a few hours a week to 24/7 round the clock care, we work with your schedule and your needs.  All of our friendly and professional caregivers provide:

Once a schedule and personal care plan has been decided upon during your in home evaluation, we then determine when the best time to meet and interview your prospective caregiver will be.  It’s Visiting Angels Northwest Valley’s goal to match the perfect Caregiver for your particular needs.  All of our caregivers have met the same stringent qualifications to be excellent caregivers.  All have been through a nationwide background check to ensure to the best of our abilities  peace of mind about the person entering your home to care for you.  During the “interview” you will have the opportunity to discuss whatever you wish, ask the questions you are interested in and take the time to get to know your caregiver a little before they begin working in your home.
